I just finished making these . .I’m like another reader…”boy, this is a lot of steps for Blueberry muffins. Also, like another reader, I filled the batter to the top and it was too much so next time I will fill them 3/4 full. I must say . .every step is worth it because I have been cooking for 50 years and these are the BEST I’ve ever tasted. The texture and flavor are the best ever. Try them once and I’m betting the second time through is easier.

I’m so glad to know you and family liked these. I’m also happy to read about your successful substitutions. It’s nice to have a granola bar that is tasty and you can feel good about knowing exactly what went into it.

These are awesome! I used 4 parts honey to 1 part brown rice syrup and subbed the sucanat for brown sugar. Talk about total awesomeness!!! The husband already requested a 2nd batch be made (and they are not totally cooled yet). I am sure the kids will ask for a 3rd batch!

Adam, thanks for the site. I now know there is help! I need to go on a diet after I return from Fort Myers Friday. No baking for me for a while unless I can bring it somewhere

Anna. Thanks for pointing out the photo problem. I think it’s fixed now. I don’t think mine looks better than yours, but thank you for the compliment. Thanks for the recipe!!
Gloria. I didn’t split the cake. It is one layer baked and the one layer is cut in half and then stacked on top of itself. Itt looks like a two layer cake, but it’s really just one layer cut into two. I feel like I’m babbling now.
