Baking is a hobby I have enjoyed since I was a child. My grandmother always had baked goods waiting for us when we visited her and while I can’t say I learned to bake from her, I can say that some of her recipes continue to be enjoyed by family and friends.

My husband and I have made our home in Central Minnesota. We share our home with our big, black Labradoodle Marley, and we love it when our adult children are home for a visit.

Sue, I tried to post this to the King Arthur site but I’m not sure it went through.

The article you’re looking for was in the Austin American Statesman about 5 years ago, and was written by Kitty Crider, their former food writer. She actually won a James Beard Journalism award for this article. And the biscuits are good, too!

By the way, I like your blog!

      Thanks Sharon!
I knew I had read it but couldn’t remember for sure where. Comments on the KA blog sometimes take awhile to appear, so I’m sure your comment will show up there. I’m glad you like my blog. I wish I had more time to bake and blog!
